Build the Future
This is not a lecture. You are the builders.
Instead of listening to presentations all afternoon, you and your team will design a real AI-powered solution for a real business — and pitch it to a panel of judges. The best idea wins.
How it works
Step 1 — Inspiration (45 min)
We kick off with a rapid showcase of real-world use cases built on Cloudflare's developer platform: how companies like Figma, Signal, Pfizer, and PicsArt are using Workers, Containers, AI Gateway, and more to solve hard problems. This is your inspiration fuel — not a spec to copy.
Step 2 — Team up
You are already assigned to a team of 4–5 people at your table. If everyone at the table is from the same company, you will design a solution for that company. If you have a mixed table, spend 5 minutes picking one company to build for — then go all in.
Step 3 — Design your solution (60 min)
Your mission: design an AI-powered use case that delivers real business value and uses at least one Cloudflare product as a meaningful part of the architecture. There are no other rules. Your solution can improve an internal process, enhance a product, or invent something entirely new.
Step 4 — Prepare your pitch
Put together a short 2–3 slide deck covering: 1) The problem / opportunity, 2) Your solution (a high-level architecture diagram is strongly encouraged), 3) Business value.
Step 5 — Pitch to the judges (5 min per team)
Each team presents. Judges may ask questions. Winners are announced at the end.
What are you actually building?
You are designing an AI use case. AI must be central — not a footnote. Some directions to consider:
- An AI agent that handles a repetitive internal workflow autonomously
- A customer-facing feature powered by a language or vision model
- An intelligent search or recommendation system over your company's data
- An internal developer tool or coding assistant built on your own stack
- A real-time data pipeline that uses AI to detect anomalies or generate insights
- A new product or service your company could offer, powered by AI
Ground Rules
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| AI is required | Your solution must have a meaningful AI component |
| Cloudflare is required | At least one qualifying Cloudflare product must be part of the architecture |
| Everything else optional | Use any other cloud, model, or tool that fits |
| Can be used but excluded from scoring | Standard CDN, WAF, DDoS protection, DNS |
| Team size | 4–5 people per table |
| Deliverable | 2–3 slide pitch deck with architecture and business case |
| Pitch time | 5 minutes per team |
Tips for a strong entry
- Pick a real pain point: The best solutions solve something your company actually struggles with today.
- Let Cloudflare earn its place: Use it where it genuinely fits — don't bolt it on. A Worker as the glue layer between your AI model and your database is more compelling than mentioning it once.
- Architecture over slides: A clear diagram beats five bullet points.
- Think about scale and cost: Why does this solution make business sense? What happens when it runs at scale?
- Bold beats safe: Judges will remember the ambitious idea over the incremental one.
